The city’s Finest bested the Bravest, 17-7, in the 38th Annual Fun City Bowl football game yesterday at Hofstra University.

The NYPD was led by Robert Lavender, who ran for a 13-yard score. Kicker Fred Barraza booted a 40-yard field goal for a 10-7 lead. The game was sealed when Joseph Pritchard, an NYPD defensive end, stripped the ball and recovered it in the end zone.

The NYPD’s defensive stars were captain George Burke, Joel Sussman and Steve Hyland.
