Police busted a man suspected of selling a lethal batch of heroin that killed a 29-year-old man and found a powerful machine gun inside his Manhattan apartment, police sources said.
Dashawn Hawkins, 26, was arrested early Thursday when police burst into his East 94th Street apartment to execute a search warrant.
Inside, cops found approximately 30 grams of heroin and a MAC-10 sub-machine gun with a silencer attached, sources said.
Hawkins was taken into custody and charges against him are pending.
He is suspected of peddling heroin to people around town, including to 29-year-old Colin Cameron, who overdosed on a bag of heroin that Hawkins is believed to have sold him, sources said.
