A woman standing on the edge of a subway platform with a 9-year-old girl and ranting about jumping onto the tracks with the child was saved by cops in the nick of time Friday.

MTA workers called police, who grabbed the woman, Gabriella Georgescu, 43, of Niantic, Conn., and held onto the child, who police believe is her daughter, as a 6 train approached the 59th Street station. The woman was hospitalized for observation. The girl was turned over to city child welfare.
