Police have located the truck that struck and dragged an NYPD recruit on her way to the police academy Monday morning and are questioning its driver, who claimed he was unaware he had hit someone.

The tractor trailer was found Monday afternoon, hours after the 6 a.m. accident near the corner of 28th Ave. and Ulmer St. in Flushing, police said.

The truck dragged the 35-year-old future cop for a short distance.

She was just a block away from the academy at the time.

EMS rushed her to New York Presbyterian Hospital–Queens in stable condition, police said

The driver of the truck told cops he had no idea he had hit the woman before driving off. It’s unclear if there will be criminal charges.
