Two cops chased and shot a 19-year-old man who fired at them in The Bronx last night, police said.
The officers had just left their Fordham precinct and were driving home in separate vehicles when they saw the teen firing a gun into a park near East 191st Street and Creston Avenue at about 8:15 p.m.
After the cops got out of their cars and gave chase, the teen turned and fired his .25-caliber handgun, missing them both. At least one of the officers returned fire and hit him once in the chest.
The 19-year-old is in stable condition at St. Barnabas Hospital.
