Cops are hunting for a University Heights assailant who fired several times at a group of people and shot three, including a 5-year-old boy. Police released video today of the shooter, who shot a 30-year-old man in the leg, a 5-year-old in the ankle, and grazed the arm of a 32-year-old woman who were standing outside on Grand Avenue, near Fordham Road.

He took a gun out of his bag and opened fire around 8:15 p.m. last Friday evening.

Police say he’s between the ages of 25 and 30, about 6 feet tall, has braided hair, and weighs 160 pounds.

The thug then fled on foot southbound on Grand Avenue, and turned westbound onto West 184th Street. The victims were taken to St. Barnabas Hospital, where they were treated and released.
