The New Jersey cops involved in the Memorial Day weekend beatdown of a young female beachgoer — who was violently arrested in front of her 18-month-old daughter — will not face criminal charges, according to prosecutors.

While the actions of the arresting officers did not violate any criminal laws, the three men will remain under internal investigation and on administrative duty until the probe is complete.

Officials in Wildwood, where the incident took place, said they made the decision to avoid charges after reviewing body camera footage and a cellphone video, which went viral last week.

“I recognize that the video footage has raised a lot of questions regarding the officers’ actions,” Cape May County prosecutor Jeffrey Sutherland said Tuesday in a statement. “A decision such as this is not based on emotion; it is based upon applying the proper laws, policies and directives that govern law enforcement.”

Officers Thomas Cannon, John Hillman and Robert Jordan were attempting to arrest 20-year-old Emily Weinman, of Philadelphia when things took a violent turn.

Weinman can be seen on video getting punched in the face by one of the cops numerous times — with closed fists — while beachgoers look on in shock. She was eventually taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault on a police officer, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, aggravated assault by spitting on an officer, and minor in possession of alcohol.

Weinman’s attorney, Stephen Dicht, told NJ.com on Tuesday that he wasn’t surprised by the DA’s decision to not pursue criminal charges against the cops.

“I think it’s terrible. It ignores the plain evidence,” Dicht said. “You look at that video, you see three people, maybe four people. One of them’s getting beaten on her head, and she’s the one who got charged.”
