Police are investigating an underground dance party that took place in an abandoned subway station in Manhattan, law-enforcement sources said.

The party drew the attention of the police after a Gothamist writer went to the bash on Friday and wrote about it for the Web site.

It was held in a section of the Second Avenue subway that was abandoned after the city ran out of funds for constructing the line—revelers had to enter through a passage in the sidewalk.

Organizers of the party, held on Friday, the Summer Solstice, advised those invited that they would face legal and physical risks.

Cops are trying to locate the organizers – one was Jeff Stark, who sends out a popular weekly email loaded with events — as well as a list of the people who went, sources said.

No arrests have been made.
