Detectives are hunting for a thief who robbed one Manhattan bank and tried to knock off two others.
Djamil Aziz, 51, (pictured) first struck at the Chase Bank at 111
Eigth Avenue around 11 a.m. on March 29. He passed a demand note, but fled with no cash.
On Saturday afternoon, he returned to the same branch, and passed a note, but took it back and left without money.
Minutes later, he walked inside a Chase Bank at 233 third Avenue, passed a note and fled with cash, cops said.
Police said Azizi, who also goes by the name John Amir, is 6-foot-1 and 180 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information is urged to call Crimestoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
