HEMPSTEAD, NY — Police are investigating a shooting that left a teenage boy dead on a Long Island street.
The shooting occurred around 10 pm Wednesday in Hempstead.
WABC-TV says the 17-year-old victim was standing with a group of teens when he was shot.
He was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
His name wasn’t immediately released.
There were no immediate arrests.
