An elderly Long Island woman and her young tenant housed a stunning menagerie in their dilapidated home — including a small cow they kept in an enclosed sunroom.

Acting on a tip from a neighbor, Brookhaven Town officials descended on the ramshackle Shirley residence to find nearly 100 animals — including goats, a pig, a duck, a chinchilla and more than 75 pigeons — running amok.

Brookhaven Town Councilman Dan Panico said he did a double take when he came upon the small, sickly, black and white cow.

“To my amazement, I saw a cow right there walking around the inside of the house,” he said. “It was difficult to believe.”

Shaken investigators said they found dozens of corpses in the home and that many of the surviving animals were severely malnourished. The 85-year-old resident appeared to be mentally incapacitated. Her tenant, Alan Warner, Warner, was given a slew of tickets and the home was condemned.
