Police released video Wednesday of a young man they suspect slashed a straphanger who accidentally bumped into him at a Manhattan subway station.
The suspect, who appears to be in his early 20s, is wearing a black trench coat and dark pants as he walks down the street. He is suspected of slashing a 44-year-old man on his forehead and wrist at around 4:45 p.m. Wednesday.
The victim, 44, had been walking near a turnstile with a friend at the Canal Street Station when he collided with the suspect. The attacker pulled out a pen knife and began slashing him.
Witnesses said the victim and his pal then chased the perp out of the subway station and up 6th Avenue before losing sight of him.
The man was treated at Bellevue Hospital.
