A Scottish tourist collapsed in the back of a cab on Broadway near Times Square Saturday — but five cops saved his life.
Officer Zhoana Tozaj, who happened to be removing New Year’s barricades, started CPR as Officers David Basquez and Matthew Widmer of Midtown North arrived. Basquez radioed for help, and Officers William Helbock and Timothy Landy, also of Midtown North, arrived with a defibrillator.
Helbock gave two shocks to the pulse-less, 60-year-old victim while the other cops continued CPR until EMS rushed the man to NYU Medical Center, where he was in stable condition Saturday night.
