The man

found dead behind a Brooklyn Home Depot

was murdered and suffered a deep cut to his head and a stab wound to his shoulder, police announced Tuesday.

A 24-year-old passerby was walking in the area when he came across the victim, who has since been identified by police as a 26-year-old homeless man, beside a creek in the wooded area behind the Home Depot in Coney Island.

No weapons were found at the scene and the circumstances of his death are still unclear. The city medical examiner will determine the man’s official cause of death.

Police are still investigating the case but said there are no surveillance cameras in the area.
