Police have released a sketch of a man who tried to rape a woman in the Bronx last weekend.

The 34-year-old victim was walking near Westchester Avenue and Metcalf Avenue in Soundview when the suspect came up behind her and put a knife to her neck around 1:10 a.m. Sunday.

He then removed her purse and forced her into an alleyway where he put his hand up her skirt and fondled her, police said.

The woman screamed, causing the creep to run away.

The victim was taken to Jacobi Hospital for an evaluation but was not seriously hurt.

The suspect is believed to be in his early 20s, stands around 5-foot-10 and weighs approximately 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, cops said.
