The NYPD is still trying to find the heartless couple who tried to rob a 78-year-old can collector in Brooklyn last month, an attack that left him slashed in the face.

The attack happened near Maujer Street and Humboldt streets in Williamsburg just after midnight on April 12, police said in releasing video of the female assailant.

The elderly victim had been trying to pick up a bottle when he lost control of his shopping cart, which then rolled into the door of the suspect’s parked BMW, cops said.

A man and a woman got out of the car and demanded money from the senior citizen to repair the damage, cops said.

The man then rifled through the victim’s pockets – finding nothing – before slashing him in the face with an unknown sharp object.

The victim “sustained a very severe laceration to his face,” according to police sources.

He was treated and released at a nearby hospital.
