New York City police are searching for a second suspect in the apparent hate assault that left a 49-year-old gay man in a medically induced coma.
A 26-year-old suspect has been arraigned on a charge of assault as a hate crimes. He faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted.
Investigators say two men punched and kicked Jack Price last Thursday after he left a 24-hour deli near his home in Queens.
They say his attackers taunted Price and yelled anti-gay slurs before assaulting him.
Price suffered a fractured jaw and ribs, the collapse of both of his lungs, and a lacerated spleen.
Police are searching for a 21-year-old Queens man.
