Police shot a 29-year-old man – who told them he was high – in the shoulder after he pulled a gun on them in the Bronx Monday afternoon, police sources said.

Officers were flagged down by a witness who said they saw the gun-wielding man outside a playground near the Forest Houses about 3:45 p.m., the sources said.

Three officers approached the man, later identified by cops as George Watson, and told him numerous times to drop the gun before shooting him once in the shoulder, the sources said. Watson, who had fired the pistol nearby on E. 166th St., told cops he was high, police sources said.

Watson was taken to Lincoln Hospital in stable condition. No shots were fired at the cops, who were taken to Jacobi Hospital for tinnitus.
