The longtime head of the city correction officers union wants to put the screws to a rival who boldly usurped his name to boost a Web site challenging his leadership.

Union President Norman Seabrook is suing Correction Officer Daniel Palmieri for allegedly registering the Internet domain name “normanseabrook.com” in violation of laws covering use of his “famous” moniker.

Visitors to the site are automatically re-directed to boldestchange.com, which promotes Palmieri’s insurgent candidacy for control of the Correction Officers Benevolent Association.

Court papers say Palmieri “intends to deceive the public into believing plaintiff Norman Seabrook is not running during the next election period” and is instead supporting Palmieri’s campaign.

Seabrook’s “cybersquatting” suit, filed late Monday in Manhattan federal court, seeks “all permissible relief,” including unspecified damages and legal fees.

Palmieri didn’t immediately return a request for comment.
