A corrections officer was left a bloody pulp after he was viciously punched in the head and face by a prisoner in Brooklyn on Tuesday, officials said.

The assault happened at 1:40 p.m. at the Brooklyn House of Detention when accused murderer Pariis Tillery approached the officer and was ordered to step back, law enforcement sources said.

When Tillery didn’t comply, the officer sprayed mace into the prisoner’s face — but it had no effect, as he punched the officer multiple times and knocked him to the floor, sources said.

The officer’s face was left badly swollen and bruised.

This marked the third corrections officer beaten by a prisoner in the New York City jail system over the past three weeks, union president Elias Husamudeen said.
