A Manhattan appeals court yesterday ordered three lawyers to pay more than $15,000 in sanctions for filing “frivolous” claims that the United States was behind 9/11.

Dennis Cunningham, Mustapha Ndanusa and William Veale had challenged last year’s dismissal of their suit against former Vice President Dick Cheney and others.

Judges José Cabranes, John Walker Jr. and Ralph Winter, of the US Second Circuit Court of Appeals, dismissed the appeal, saying the lawyers offered “only irrelevant information in a jarringly disorganized manner united solely by its consistently patronizing tone.”
