New York’s COVID-19 positivity rate is hovering around 3 percent with hospitalizations continuing to rise.
The statewide rate, when measured on a seven-day average, was 3.12 percent Friday, according to statistics released Saturday by Gov. Cuomo.
The rate in New York City was 2.55 percent.
Of the 169,716 tests results that came back statewide Friday, 4,990 — or 2.94 percent — were positive, Cuomo said.

The state gave out54,431doses of the COVID-19 vaccine from Friday to Saturday bringing the total number of doses to 23,187,384.
A total of 78.3 percent of New York adults have received at least one shot of the vaccine and 70.4 percent have completed the vaccine series, Cuomo said citing federal data.
