A cow that escaped from a New Jersey slaughterhouse will be spared.
The 750-pound cow, tranquilized and captured Tuesday after running amok through the streets of Paterson, will be taken by the slaughterhouse owner to a farm, said Animal Control Officer John De Cando.
Paterson was like “Dodge City,” with police cars trying to corral the beast, De Cando said.
