A drill crane tipped over and hit an NYPD traffic van during rush-hour traffic early Monday in Midtown, authorities said.

The crane, which weighs more than 150,000 pounds, was driving up a ramp into a construction site on the southwest corner of Broadway near West 30th Street, when it fell backwards at about 8:30 a.m., authorities said.

“I was across the street when I heard this big boom. It was pretty loud. Nobody got hurt except the van,” said a witness, Vincent Ferrara, 50.

“He was going up that ramp over there and the thing just tipped over. Suddenly everyone was running around like crazy,” he added.

There were no reported injuries.

“Thank God nobody got hurt,” Ferrara added.

The crane was at the construction site contracted by Flintlock LLC.
