An elderly Long Island woman was killed on her way home from church yesterday when her husband fell asleep at the wheel.

Kum Choi, 70, was pronounced dead at the scene on Veterans Memorial Highway in Smithtown at 12:40 p.m.

Jong Choi, 76, suffered chest injuries when their 1998 Lexus smashed into a tree. He was taken to Stony Brook Medical Center.
