A police car crash sent an SUV careening into a Long Island house — setting both on fire, police said.
The SUV collided with the Suffolk County police cruiser just before 2 p.m. Friday while heading eastbound on Woods Road at the intersection of Elkton Lane in North Babylon, according to cops.
The SUV then veered into an Elkton Lane house and caught fire, which spread to the home, cops said.
The cop was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital but was expected to survive, cops said.
The driver of the SUV was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center where he is also expected to survive.
It was unclear what caused the crash. Police are still investigating the incident.
