Police arrested a man Sunday night for allegedly trying to rape an elderly woman after brutally attacking her in lower Manhattan earlier this month.

Clarence Bradley, 23, was busted on charges of attempted rape, robbery and public lewdness for approaching the 73-year-old while she was walking on Greenwich Street near Morris Street in the Financial District around 12:45 a.m. on July 7, according to police.

Bradley demanded the woman have sex with him, police said.

When she refused, Bradley punched her in the face repeatedly, breaking teeth and fracturing the woman’s eye socket, cops said.

He then allegedly took her bag, with $20 inside, and ran off.

The woman was taken to a local hospital in serious but stable condition, police said.

Bradley was being held at the 1st Precinct station house on Sunday night.
