A fire blazed at a downtown commercial Manhattan high-rise building, authorities said.

The flames began about 10:05 a.m. on the seventeenth-floor of 116 John Street, according to an FDNY spokesman. An acetylene tank exploded during the fire, which was extinguished at 11 a.m.

No injuries were reported. Some debris fell from the building during the blaze.
