There has been an alarming crime spike in 49 of the city’s 76 precincts — with several normally quiet neighborhoods seeing a surge, according to NYPD data.

The 61st Precinct in Brooklyn, which covers Sheepshead Bay, had the biggest bump at 50.3 percent compared with the same year-to-date period last year.

Major crime in that precinct — murder, rape, robbery, felony assault, burglary, grand larceny and auto theft — rose to 726 from 483.

The Post exclusively reported yesterday that crime is up 4.1 percent citywide.

“It’s up from last year, but last year was a record year,” said NYPD spokesman Paul Browne. “We’re using strategies to attack these increases, including stop-and-frisk.”
