Manhattan US Attorney and Wall Street sheriff Preet Bharara said the nation’s 2008 financial meltdown was caused partly by the “criminal activity” of greedy executives.
“I think there was criminal activity,” Bharara told MSNBC. “But you have to be able to prove that crimes took place.”
Bharara admitted he was miffed that Wall Street honchos were able to sidestep criminal charges related to the economic collapse.
