A heartless crook swiped an entire donation box — holding thousands of dollars in cash — from a Bronx mosque during Ramadan, cops said Tuesday.
The thief entered the Masjid Nur Al Islam Mosque on Sherman Avenue near McClellan Street in Concourse around 6 a.m. on May 21, picked up the box containing about $2,200 and walked out, authorities said.
It wasn’t clear whether the mosque was open and if worshipers were inside, but cops said it did not appear that he forced his way in.
A surveillance image released by cops shows a suspect hauling the box — more than half his height — out of the house of worship.
