Armed crooks barged into a Bronx home — zip-tying eight relatives and pistol-whipping one — after an accomplice posed as a delivery person, cops said Friday.
The BMW used by the suspectsNYPDA woman knocked on the door of the Longwood apartment at Southern Boulevard and Leggett Avenue at midnight on Dec. 31, pretending to make a delivery, cops said.
Video shows the woman standing by the door, holding what appears to be a package. Once a 62-year-old resident opened the door, the two crooks immediately ran inside with guns drawn, cops said.
The duo zip-tied eight family members before pistol-whipping a 60-year-old man, cutting his face, according to police. They then swiped $5,500 from the apartment before taking off, cops said.
The suspects fled on foot to Bruckner Boulevard, where they entered a black BMW sedan with dark tinted windows and took off. They were last seen heading south on the Bruckner Boulevard service road, cops said.
The 60-year-old man was taken to Metropolitan Hospital Center, where he was treated and released. There were no other reported injuries.
The female suspect was last seen wearing black sweatpants, a black hooded jacket, black gloves and black sneakers. One man wore black pants, a black jacket, a gray hooded sweatshirt, a black hooded sweatshirt, black gloves and brown boots. The other was wearing black pants and a black fur-lined hooded jacket, police said.
