An office worker who scored $17 million when her boss sold the Grey Goose vodka brand can’t collect on the sale of an energy-drink company the employer also founded, a Manhattan appeals court said yesterday.
Renate Cordts-Auth “is not, and has never been” a part-owner of the company behind Crunk, the US Second Circuit Court of Appeals ruled.
Cordts-Auth hit paydirt after being given a 0.85 percent share of Grey Goose by the late Sidney Frank.
He also gave her an interest in Crunk LLC, but she was “asked to leave Crunk” and got $2 million-plus in severance, court papers say.
She subsequently sued Frank’s daughter and sole heir, Cathy Halstead.
