Gov. Andrew Cuomo held a news conference without taking questions from journalists on Thursday — one day after refusing to address mounting allegations of sexual harassment because he’s facing an impeachment investigation.
The event, held at his Manhattan office to discuss the latest COVID numbers and the start of baseball season, also came just hours after a female reporter accused Cuomo of making her feel “uncomfortable” by repeatedly flirting with her more than a decade ago, when he was state attorney general.
During a Wednesday conference call with reporters, the embattled governor repeatedly ducked questions about the spiraling sexual harassment scandal by citing the impeachment probe being conducted by the state Assembly Judiciary Committee.
“The Assembly has a review going on, on just the questions you asked,” Cuomo said.
“And I’m going to respect the review and I won’t comment on issues that are subject to the review.”
