Gov. Andrew Cuomo put the kibosh on Mayor Bill de Blasio’s affordable housing plan, saying there was no time to amend a state program with progressive changes that Hizzoner called for, according to reports.

“You can’t come up with a resolution in these next few days, and I am not going to attempt to,” Cuomo said, according to WNYC.

Cuomo is pressing for a short-term extension on the 421-a program, which provides low-income housing — but he won’t put any of de Blasio’s ideas into the extension, such as deeper tax incentives for developers to build cheap digs.

The governor also criticized de Blasio for complicating Albany’s efforts to revise 421-a before it expires on Monday.

“Nobody knew that the mayor was going to reach an agreement and propose it a couple of weeks ago,” Cuomo said. “And then it became a reaction to the mayor’s plan, and the mayor’s plan generated problems.”
