Gov. Cuomo skipped his own big bucks fund-raiser at The Plaza Thursday night to continue tense negotiations in Albany over rent regulations and contentious education issues.
The event, featuring legendary soul singer Aretha Franklin and with tickets starting at $2,500, went on without him.
