Gov. Cuomo announced a plan Wednesday to reduce the rate of new AIDS infections in the state from 3,000 to 750 a year by 2020.

“This is going to resonate all across the nation,” said Cuomo.

The plan includes doubling the number of patients receiving drug therapies and more access to syringes and condoms to prevent the disease’s spread.
