Pedestrian fatalities are down this year but cycling deaths are on the rise, according to a new interactive map that tracks traffic deaths and injuries.

Vision Zero View shows 101 pedestrian deaths through October 29, a 24 percent plunge from 2013.

But fatal bicyclist crashes have doubled, from nine to 18.

Drivers and passenger deaths have also slightly increased, from 84 to 90.

The city’s efforts to eliminate all traffic deaths by 2024, called Vision Zero, includes reducing the city speed limit to 25 mph, which went into effect on Friday.
