A 72-year-old Brooklyn man bicycling just a block from his home was struck and killed by a motorist Wednesday, police said.

Rigoberto Diaz was making a wide left turn on his bike from 48th Street onto Third Avenue in Sunset Park around 5:25 p.m. when a Chevrolet SUV struck him, police said.

Diaz was taken to Lutheran Hospital, where he died.

The driver, a 56-year-old Brooklyn man, remained at the crash scene. The investigation is continuing.
