The Queens District Attorney’s Office has dropped some of the more serious charges lodged against the wife of the disturbed Chinese takeout customer accused of killing a delivery man over duck sauce.

Dorothy Hirsch, 62, was hit with over a dozen weapon charges in June when a police raid of her Briarwood home turned up a stockpile of guns and ammo following her husband’s arrest.

The DA dropped eight counts of criminal possession of a weapon Tuesday after Hirsch’s lawyer, Mark Bederow, moved to dismiss them, stating that the eight guns recovered belonged to her husband, Glenn Hirsch.

Dorothy Hirsch is still facing five counts of criminal possession of a weapon as well as lesser related charges.

A judge also reduced her bail from $150,000 to $30,000 Tuesday — over the Queens DA’s objection.

Dorothy and Glenn Hirsch lived in separate houses, but the guns were found inside a closet in Dorothy Hirsch’s home where her husband kept his belongings.

Bederow said his client didn’t know the firearms were there.

He said investigators searched Dorothy’s apartment on June 3 because they believed Glenn — who is facing charges of his own in connection to the April 30 fatal shooting of Zhiwen Yan — may have stashed the murder weapon there.

“That apparently didn’t occur, but they found among his items, in his closet, a stash of guns messily wrapped up in plastic, bags and boxes,” Bederow told The Post.

Glenn Hirsch was arrested on June 1 and charged with murder but was freed weeks later after his brother put up his $500,000 bail.

The husband had allegedly harassed staff at the Great Wall restaurant, where Yan worked, several times before the delivery worker was shot dead. The ongoing dispute reportedly stemmed from his claim that the eatery shorted him on duck sauce on an order he placed last year.

Hours before Yan was gunned down, police said surveillance footage captured Glenn Hirsch circling the restaurant in his car before following Yan to his next delivery.

Yan was found fatally shot in the chest.

Bederow said Dorothy Hirsch is being wrongfully blamed for her husband’s actions when she has no involvement.

“What they are doing to her is wrong and heavy-handed,” he said of the prosecution. “She clearly didn’t know what he had buried in his junk closet and to seek to jail her indefinitely by accusing of her having the intent to use his firearms unlawfully is outrageous.”

He said the DA’s decision to lower the charges against Dorothy Hirsch is a move in the right direction.

“We believe yesterday is the first step to a complete exoneration,” Bederow said. “The public — and the Queens DA — should recognize that she has nothing to do with the horrible allegations against Glenn Hirsch”

A spokesperson for the DA’s office said: “It is our policy that we do not comment on pending cases.”
