The welfare-fraud investigator who accused of Westchester DA Janet DiFiore of pulling strings to get her nanny benefits was herself scrutinized by the prosecutor’s staffers, The Post has learned.

“This woman [DiFiore] has nerve to send some one over here to ask questions about her. She scared the s–t out of the personnel officer. Great people, right?” said Department of Social Services deputy commissioner Philippe Gille, in a call tape-recorded earlier this year and obtained by The Post.

Gille was discussing Dhaylma Vazquez, the DSS employee who made the initial accusation against DiFiore last year.

DiFiore’s office declined to comment.
