A dad and his 7-year-old son were killed in an early morning car crash Sunday that left his two other young children seriously injured, New Rochelle police said.

The tragic crash happened shortly after 1:30 a.m. when the man’s Nissan Altima struck a retaining wall near an exit ramp along the Hutchinson River Parkway in the Westchester County city, police said in a press release Sunday.

The father, 36, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man’s 7-year-old twin boys were in the back seat and both were transported to Jacobi Hospital in the Bronx, where one was pronounced dead, New Rochelle police said.

The second twin was undergoing surgery for “severe internal injuries,” police said.

The driver’s 11-year-old daughter, who was traveling in the front seat, also underwent emergency surgery at Jacobi for internal injuries and was listed in stable condition.
