Lesson learned!

A Connecticut father who tried to give his 12-year-old son a driving lesson was in the hot seat after the young boy crashed the family car into a house.

Giuseppe Manugus was teaching his son how to drive at their Norwalk home on Saturday, when the 45-year-old instructed the child to slowly back down the driveway, the Associated Press reports.

But the inexperienced tween driver instead threw the car into reverse and slammed on the gas — crashing the car into a neighbor’s house.

Luckily, no one was hurt in the accident and the house sustained only minor damage, police said.

But what he had considered an innocent practice session behind the wheel landed Manugus in cuffs.

He was charged with risk of injury to a minor, and is due back in Norwalk Superior Court on Aug. 1, according to AP.
