A Staten Island dad forced his son to turn himself in for hitting an off-duty cop with his car and fleeing the scene, police sources said.

Peter Manolio, 23, was behind the wheel of an Infiniti X60 coupe when he hit the 28-year-old police officer as he was crossing the street near the corner of Buffalo Street and Hylan Boulevard around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, cops said.

Manolio sped away from the scene after the crash, leaving the injured cop, who was rushed to Staten Island University Hospital North with non-life threatening injuries, authorities said.

When Manolio returned home, his pop noticed the damage to the front of the car– and dragged him down to the 122nd Precinct to turn himself in.

Manolio was charged with leaving the scene of an accident and failure to yield to a pedestrian.
