A Queens boy was struck and killed by an SUV last night after running into the middle of a busy Ridgewood roadway, police said.
Puran Thapa, 7, was standing with his father on the sidewalk at Myrtle Avenue and Madison Street when he darted into traffic at around 6:50 p.m., cops said.
A 2002 Toyota Highlander going east on Myrtle Avenue hit him.
“I saw the child lying in the street, right on the double yellow line,” said a witness, Darlyn Deleon, 22.
“The father was kneeling next to the child and crying.”
Puran was pronounced dead at Wyckoff Hospital.
The driver remained at the scene and cops do not suspect any criminality.
