The Bronx
■ Cops are searching for a suspect who allegedly burglarized a home in Soundview, authorities said.
He sneaked into a house at Unionport Road and East Tremont Avenue and stole a safe full of valuables Tuesday at about
8 p.m., police said.
Video surveillance captured images of the thief carrying the safe, which contained jewelry, credit cards and a stash of cash, said cops. The dollar amount of the haul wasn’t immediately known.
Queens
■ Port Authority police arrested a man who allegedly stole two pricey jet motors at JFK Airport.
James Hicks-Johnson, 30, who works for Contego, a de-icing company that has access to airport grounds, loaded the motors onto a truck Thursday at noon, the PAPD said.
Witnesses saw him swipe the Jetway motors — worth $7,000 each — at Terminal 7, according to police. The motors were returned to their owner, British Airways.
■ A thief posing as a home health aide swiped an elderly woman’s purse in Astoria, cops said.
On Oct. 13 at 8:20 a.m., the suspect, believed to be in her 50s, knocked on the 75-year-old woman’s door at 12th Street and 40th Avenue, saying she worked for a health-care agency, police said.
She was let inside and moments later left with the purse, cops said.
■ A suspect used a cloned credit card to buy a PlayStation game console in Flushing, cops said.
On Oct. 3 at 9:50 p.m., he walked into the Best Buy at 40th Road and Roosevelt Avenue near closing time, cops said.
He was seen on video surveillance exiting with a shopping bag in hand.
The theft was reported after a 31-year-old Brooklyn woman noticed the suspicious transaction on her card account and reported it to police.
Staten Island
■ A 23-year-old man was shot in the ankle in Stapleton, police said.
The victim was at Targee Street and Laurel Avenue at 1:30 a.m. Saturday when a gunman targeted him, police said.
The victim walked into Richmond University Medical Center for treatment.
■ A man burglarized a Clifton deli and fled with cash, cops said.
The suspect broke into Star Deli through the back door at Broad and Gordon Streets at 3:10 a.m. Tuesday and took $885 from a register, police said.
He was seen on video surveillance in a hoodie jogging away from the scene of the crime.
