He’ll have a lot to own up to at his next confession.
A man pushing a shopping cart stole more than $55,000 in cash and valuables from a Mount Eden church, officials said.
The robber broke into the Eternal Sacred Order Of Cherubim & Seraphim Halleluya Church of Christ on Walton Avenue at 2 a.m. on Oct. 17, and pocketed about $20,000 from the poor box, cops said.
He also swiped approximately $35,000 in valuables, including processional crosses and jewelry, police said.
The suspect is balding and was last seen wearing a light-colored hoodie and blue jeans. He hauled off the valuables in his cart.
A suspect has stolen cellphones from seven victims, most of them girls, in and near Williamsbridge, authorities said.
Investigators said the robber typically claims that he had a weapon.
The crook first struck at 3 p.m. on Sept. 25, accosting a 12-year-old girl near Bronxwood Avenue and Tilden Street, snatching her phone and running off, cops said.
His most recent robbery came at 8:30 p.m. Sunday when he held up a 16-year-old girl at East Gun Hill Road and Lurting Avenue, police said.
The bandit has snatched at least seven phones but has fled empty-handed in four other attempted robberies, according to police.
No victim has been injured.
Two men survived a shooting on a street in Tremont Wednesday.
The victims were at East 163rd Street and Tinton Avenue at 1:05 p.m. when a gunman wearing a shirt with the American flag emblazoned on it opened fire, law-enforcement authorities said.
A 54-year-old man was hit in the left ankle and a 21-year-old man took a bullet to the hip, cops said.
Both victims were rushed to Lincoln Hospital in stable condition, cops said.
The suspect fled.
Manhattan
A suspect grabbed a cellphone from a woman on the Lower East Side, police said.
The 58-year-old victim was on Delancey Street near Clinton Street at 9:50 a.m. on Oct. 17 when the thief snatched her phone and bolted, authorities said.
Queens
A suspect wanted in a fatal shooting in South Richmond Hill just days before Christmas last year was collared in Florida after he committed a traffic infraction, cops said.
David Haridat, 31, allegedly shot 23-year-old Gerrard Edwards near Liberty Avenue and 112th Street last Dec. 22.
Police found Edwards with gunshot wounds to the torso at 3:30 a.m. and he died at Jamaica Hospital.
Haridat was stopped this week in Miami for a traffic violation, and police checking his identity against a criminal database found the open murder warrant, officials said.
He was extradited to Queens and charged with murder, police said.
A 60-year-old man crossing a street in Astoria Wednesayd was fatally struck by a cement truck, police said.
The victim, whose name was not immediately released, stepped off a curb outside a crosswalk on Northern Boulevard near 34th Street at 12:15 p.m. and was hit by the 2001 Mack cement truck, cops said.
He died at Astoria General Hospital.
The 29-year-old driver remained on scene and was interviewed by cops, and no charges have been filed.
Brooklyn
A suspect was seen on surveillance video after an attempted bank robbery in Kensington, cops said.
The robber walked into the Chase branch at Flatbush and Snyder avenues at about 12:50 p.m. on Sept. 25, according to police.
He demanded cash from a teller but fled empty-handed, cops said.
The suspect is believed to be about 35 years old and 175 pounds.
