The suspect pictured above repeatedly punched a woman in a random attack at a Longwood subway station, police said. The 51-year-old woman was waiting for a northbound 2 train in the mezzanine of the Simpson Street station at 5:10 a.m. on Jan. 30 when the assailant ran up and began punching her. The suspect was described as about 50 years old, 5 feet tall and 250 pounds, police said. He was last seen wearing a black hat, a black waist-length coat and black jeans.
Brooklyn
Three armed police impersonators scammed their way into a Brownsville home Saturday and robbed the residence, police said. The suspects, who represented themselves as police officers executing a search warrant, entered the home on Sutter Avenue near Saratoga Avenue at about 10:30 a.m., police said. Then they pulled guns and swiped an undetermined sum of cash and property. No one was injured.
Police are looking for the man and woman pictured at right who robbed and assaulted a 56-year-old woman. The hooded suspects approached the victim, knocked her to the ground and swiped her bag on Newkirk Avenue at 1:15 a.m. on Feb. 2, police said. The male suspect, described as in his 20s, 5-foot-6 and 120 pounds, wore black paints, a black jacket and silver sneakers. The female suspect was descibed as in her 20s, 5-foot-4 and 105 pounds with brown hair. She wore black pants, a black jacket and silver sneakers.
Queens
The suspect pictured above who claimed to have a gun robbed a South Ozone park deli of $70, police said. He entered the Quick Save Deli on Rockaway Boulevard near 118th Street on Feb. 6 and put his hand into his jacket pocket to make like he had a gun as he walked over to the counter, cops said. The man, who was caught on store surveillance video, then demanded that the 33-year-old employee put all the money from the register cash register’s money inside a plastic bag. The employee complied and the thief got away with his meager haul. He fled the scene in a dark-colored SUV. Cops described the suspect as in his 40s, 6 feet tall and about 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a dark-colored jacket, a gray, hooded sweater, light-colored pants and dark colored shoes.
Police are on the hunt for the suspect pictured at right who helped his cohort beat up and mug a 69-year-old man at gunpoint in Ozone Park. The suspect and his gun-wielding accomplice approached the victim on 98th Street near Liberty Avenue at around 7:35 p.m. on Jan. 31 and demanded money, cops said. The two men punched the victim in the face and swiped an undetermined amount of money from his pocket, police said. The victim refused medical attention at the scene. One suspect, identified as Robert Beharry, 26, was arrested about a block away from the scene. He was charged with first-degree robbery, gang assualt, menacing and harassment. The second suspect is still at large.
Manhattan
The passenger pictured at right beat up her elderly taxi driver in Midtown, police said. The 70-year-old driver picked up the woman at 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 31 at 158th Street and Broadway and she asked to be driven to Times Square. When the driver approached the 56th Street exit on the West Side Highway, the woman, infuriated that her driver had turned the meter on, beat him and jumped out of the cab. The driver refused medical attention at the scene.
Two thugs robbed and assaulted a teen on a lower Manhattan train, leaving him unconscious, cops said. The 19-year-old victim had boarding a northbound A train at Fulton Street on Feb. 1 at about 12:30 a.m. when one man approached and snatched his wallet from his pocket. When the incredulous victim demanded back the wallet, a second assailant pressed a gravity knife against the side of his neck and then punched him in the head, knocking him out cold. The teen did not regain consciousness until the train reached 190th Street in Washington Heights, cops said. The man’s wallet contained $160, a debit card and other papers.
