A man left his wallet on the counter of a Brownsville deli, and this man walked up and swiped it, police said. The suspect picked up the shopper’s unattended wallet containing $120 and a debit card Saturday at Bridge Deli and Grocery on Pitkin Avenue and Powell Street at 9 a.m., cops said. The suspect, believed to be in his 50s, was last seen wearing a dark cap and a blue and red jacket.

The Bronx

An 18-year-old man was slashed in the face while riding in a livery cab in Woodstock, cops said. The victim was in the back seat on Trinity Avenue near Pontiac Place Sunday at about 1:20 p.m. when two men walked up to the vehicle. One of them displayed a sharp object and slashed the victim, who was taken to Lincoln Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Manhattan

A man suspected of stabbing a pizza deliveryman near Penn Station over the weekend has been arrested, police said. Ghazal Walker, 41, was picked up at his Jersey City home Sunday and charged with the attempted murder of a 37-year-old employee of Famous Amadeus Pizza. The victim, identified by co-workers as Celso, had just biked away with a delivery from the pizza shop on Eighth Avenue and 31st Street Friday at about 8:20 p.m. when he nearly collided with Walker inside the bike lane, police said. Following an argument, Walker stabbed the deliveryman several times in the torso and slashed him in the face, cops said. The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where he remained in stable condition. Walker also was charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon.

Two thugs tried to rob a man on the Upper West Side, authorities said. The 60-year-old victim was walking down Riverside Boulevard near West 64th Street when he was approached by two men, one of whom was armed, at around 1:30 a.m. Saturday, police said. They demanded that the man surrender his belongings, but the victim refused and began screaming at the top of his lungs, cops said. The would-be robbers fled empty-handed and the victim, who was uninjured, dialed 911.

Queens

Police released surveillance photos of three muggers wanted for shooting a 26-year-old man in Jackson Heights. The suspects approached the victim on 31st Avenue near 97th Street at 4:30 a.m. Sunday and yanked a chain off his neck, cops said. During the robbery, one of the suspects pulled out a gun and fired several shots, hitting the victim in the abdomen and once in the shoulder, police said. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital where he was listed in critical, but stable condition.

A traveler at JFK Airport was arrested when TSA agents found a high-capacity magazine loaded with 9mm ammo in his carry-on bag, officials said. Ryan Joline, 32, a resident of Lancaster, Pa., was going through a security checkpoint within Terminal 4 on Sunday afternoon when the agents noticed the long magazine in a bag. When they inspected it, they noticed the magazine contained 28 rounds of ammunition. Joline was turned over to Port Authority police and taken into custody.

The man who slashed three people with a machete outside a Jackson Heights restaurant went into a jealous rage because his victims started chatting up his female companion, authorities said. Guillermo Torres, 20, was arrested hours after the bloody attack outside Cibao Bar and Restaurant on Northern Boulevard early Sunday. He was at the restaurant with a woman when three other men started talking to her and asked her to sit down with them, cops said. The unwanted attention caused Torres to confront the men before storming out of the eatery. He returned with the large blade and stood outside the restaurant lying in wait for the men, according to police. When they left at around 4:30 a.m., Torres began hacking away with the machete, leaving a 19-year-old victim with a gash on his shoulder and a fractured wrist, police said. A 32-year-old man was also cut on the shoulder and a 22-year-old man sliced in the head and hand, cops said. All of the victims were taken to area hospitals in stable condition. Torres was charged with assault and weapon possession.
