Four muggers — two men and two women — bashed a 56-year-old man in the head in a Bedford-Stuyvesant deli, police said Monday. The incident occurred around 3 a.m. Sunday at the Atlantic Best Deli and Grill on Atlantic Avenue near Marconi Place. The assailants punched the victim and kicked him in the head and body before swiping his gold chain and a wallet containing $70, according to cops. The victim suffered lacerations and bruises to the face and head, but refused medical attention, police said. The thugs are all between 18 and 25 years old, cops said.
A 17-year-old boy was killed when a drunken driver hit him as he was riding his bike in Gerritsen Beach, authorities said Monday. Sean Ryan was peddling at Gerritsen and Gotham avenues on the edge of Marine Park when a white Honda Accord plowed into him a half-mile from his home on Opal Court at around 8:45 p.m. Sunday, police said. When police arrived, they found the teen lying in the middle of the road and his bicycle in pieces, authorities said. Cops arrested Thomas Groarke, 24, and charged him with vehicular manslaughter, driving while intoxicated and driving while ability impaired, officials said.
Police are looking for a hit-and-run driver who struck a man on a scooter, critically injuring him in Crown Heights. A dark Chrysler 300 hit the 29-year-old victim from behind at Lincoln Place and Nostrand Avenue at around 8:35 p.m. Saturday, according to police. The motorist fled east on Nostrand Avenue, cops said. Emergency responders took the victim to Kings County Hospital in critical condition, according to police.

A 23-year-old man was critically wounded when he was shot in the neck in Astoria, cops said Monday. Before the 4:15 a.m. shooting Sunday, two suspects got into an argument with the victim at Steinway Street and 28th Avenue, authorities said. One of the suspects then handed a gun to the other, who fired several rounds at the victim, hitting him once, according to police. The suspects fled on Steinway Street, and emergency responders rushed the victim to Elmhurst Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition. Both suspects are between 20 and 30 years old, cops said. The gunman had on a light-colored baseball cap, black T-shirt and dark-colored pants, and his accomplice wore a white T-shirt and red shorts, authorities said.
A woman was clinging to life Monday after she was struck by a car while walking on the Van Wyck Expressway near JFK Airport, authorities said. The woman, believed to be in her 30s, was dragging a wheeled suitcase in the right lane on the southbound side of the expressway when she was hit at around 4:30 a.m. Monday, officials said. Emergency responders rushed the victim to an area hospital, where she was placed on life support, authorities said.
The Bronx
A thief stole several tools and appliances from a Morrisania apartment building, authorities said Monday. The man walked into the building at East 163rd Street and Third Avenue and began rummaging through the storage room at around 8:25 p.m. Friday, police said. He grabbed a shopping cart and filled it with various items, including a snake drain, a vacuum and several cans of paint, and then fled, police said. The suspect has a salt-and-pepper mustache and was wearing a blue shirt, gray pants and a baseball cap.
Manhattan
A man was robbed near Central Park by an acquaintance to whom he owed money, authorities said Monday. The 29-year-old victim was walking down West 58th Street near Seventh Avenue when the assailant came up from behind and grabbed him around the neck while pressing a gun into his side on July 7 at about 6:45 a.m., police said. The thief demanded the victim hand over money he owed before digging through his pocket and pulling out several bills, cops said. After the robbery, the victim told cops he knew the man’s name to be “Ahmed,” and said he had been avoiding him because of the debt.
